WWI – OAS – ENVELOPE – 27/DE/15
This is a very pleasing small envelope. The envelope is clean and free of stains and tears. Both the Office Post Stamp and Censor Stamp are bold and complete. The cover is also nicely addressed
Red Triangular Censor Stamp.
Typically somewhere near the censor stamp is a signature, I have come to assume that the signature is that of the censor. On this envelope it appears that the censor wrote the letter. This is based on that the censor's name is written in the same ink as the address. Also the the censor's "F" initial looks just the first "T" in the address.
The cancel is for an ARMY POST OFFICE 4 above the date is the letter “A”
