pair British WWI trench art royal crown top shell casing candlesticks

Description

Here is a neat pair of British brass candlesticks that appear to be made from two artillery shell casings of WWI vintage.  Each with separately crafted base and threaded rod for removing to clean excess wax.  Tops are expertly cut-out with flaring that resembles a royal crown, especially when illuminated by candle within.  No markings apparent.
